The above video was taken from the Consecration of Ireland that took place in Knock Shrine on the 15th August. Well done to the person taking it. It would be great to see more videos of this event which was so special to us and to the Church. This event really should have been recorded professionally. One thing I do notice is that we don't seem to make use of the social media (especially Youtube) to promote events in our Church. We must realise that people don't hear about these things on RTE and not everyone reads the Irish Catholic or the Catholic Voice or Alive newspapers. We should also recognise that there are a number of people who are housebound who cannot get to these events and it would be nice for them (who have internet access) to see them. It gives hope also to the Irish Church that things are happening and that we are enthusiastic about sharing the joy of these events in some way !
