Ferns - Eucharistic Adoration for Children

This is really beautiful and great to see happening here in Ireland. Children do love to Pray and Jesus loves to see the little ones come to Him also.  How important it is to teach the reality of the Presence of Jesus to the little children who accept this reality so readily.  We can remember how Little Nellie of Holy God who died just at the tender age of four had such an incredible grasp of the reality of the Lord's Presence in the Most Holy Sacrament.

Eucharistic Adoration for Children

“Let the children of the world gather around the tabernacles of the world for the people of the world”
In a world where children are bombarded with all sorts of harmful images and messages, it is difficult for them to recognise God’s presence and to discover His infinite love for them.

Children love to pray. They pray quite naturally because God is very real for them and very close to them. Some teachers use short periods of Eucharistic Adoration as a central part of the children’s preparation for First Holy Communion.

During this period of Adoration the children gaze at Jesus, pray to Him, sing songs, experience Jesus. They come to realise that what the teacher was telling them about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is true.
