Catholic Run Mater Hospital says it will now perform abortions.

THE Catholic-run Mater Hospital in Dublin will carry out abortions where there is a real and substantial risk to the life of a pregnant woman.

The 600-bed Mater, owned by the Sisters of Mercy and overseen by a board of governors, is one of 25 hospitals listed as appropriate centres to terminate pregnancies under the terms of the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act.

Let us pray for this hospital and all those involved.  It is also important to remember that any Catholic who participates in Abortion or who commits any mortal sin can no longer present themselves for Holy Communion.  As Catholics we have a duty to uphold the Truth and we will be answerable to the Lord when we meet Him for what we did or did not do to save and protect the lives of the innocent.  I wonder now what the Church will say on this.

Ven. Catherine McAuley pray for us and for all those involved in the grave evil of abortion.
