When we think now of Advent we can think too of Mary who has the beating Sacred Heart of the Child God in her womb, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus in silence hidden away in the womb of Mary, waiting to be born. This child to be born for us, to redeem us from our sins. He listens to the Heart beat of His Mother, the Prayers she whispers to Him, her thoughts of wonder joined to Him. God coming down to us, to share His life for us begins His earthly life in complete rejection from the world, but embraced and loved by His Mother and Foster Father, to be born in complete poverty, in a stable. All out of love for us, sinners. This is Christmas, the Joy of the Lord born in complete poverty for us to save us from captivity, from sin and from eternal death.
