Over 40,000 attend Vigil for Life on 8th June 2013 in Dublin

Updated video...

Organisers of the Vigil for Life now say that an estimated 40,000 people attended the Vigil for Life in Dublin city centre to highlight opposition to the legislation on abortion put forward by the Government.

Addressing the Vigil, Maria Steen from the Iona Institute called on the government to reconsider the legislation and "do the right thing".

The husband of Michaela McAreavey, John McAreavey sent a video message to the rally.  He said human life should always be cherished and that Ireland should not make the mistake of legislating for abortion.

We continue to pray for this and hope that the individual TD's will now reflect on todays events despite the very small amount of publicity it received from the mainstream media.

Louth Vigil for Life will be held next Saturday 15th June from 3-4pm in Market Square, Dundalk...all are welcome to attend.
