The reason the UK Catholic Church is seeing a rise in Vocations is that they have many activities in their Dioceses to pray for and promote vocations to the Priesthood. Here in Ireland we seem to be thinking ahead to 'lay lead' liturgies instead of doing something practical to promote Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. I know there are some good initiatives throughout the country but we need more and we need to promote these events as well through the social media etc.
