The new religious community of the Personal Ordinariate of
Our Lady of Walsingham, the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, have received
their first guests, just days after moving into their new home near the
Maryvale Institute in Birmingham .
On their reception into the Catholic Church in January this year, the sisters
adopted the Benedictine rule, central to which is the provision of hospitality.
They will earn a living in their new convent by offering retreats and providing
overspill accommodation for students studying at Maryvale. Among the first
guests received by Mother Winsome and the community were two priests of the
Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, Fr Ian Hellyer and Fr Ed
Tomlinson, who were studying at Maryvale for the weekend.

We continue to Pray for an Ordinariate in Ireland and ask the good intercession of Bl. John Henry Newman and have faith and trust in the Lord and Our Lady in this.
